Dr. Virginia Jofili

Ana Virginia Jofili, M.D., formerly known as Dr. Kato, was born and raised in Brazil. She decided to become a pediatrician at a very young age because she dreamed of nurturing a  healthier generation.

She attended the University of Pernambuco Medical School and completed her residency in pediatrics at the University of Sao Paulo, the most prestigious program in South America. She then completed a fellowship in neonatology and practiced there for two years before moving to the US.

In Los Angeles, she completed her second pediatric residency at the White Memorial Medical Center and earned board certification by the American Board of Pediatrics. Dr. Jofili knew she wanted to pursue a more personalized approach to health, so she acquired additional board certification in Integrative Holistic Medicine and became a certified physician by the distinguished Institute for Functional Medicine.

She opened her own office so she could practice medicine on her own terms, having more time to listen and be able to better understand each of her patients' needs and concerns. She aims to provide real individualized care taking into consideration the child’s physical, environmental and emotional well-being.

Despite all her amazing accomplishments, extensive medical training and years of experience in two very different countries, she considers raising her three wonderful children as her most significant accomplishment.
